Welcome to Peace & Justice .NET

Peace and Justice .net is a professional network for international lawyers and legally trained professionals working across peace, justice, governance, and high-risk global environments.

Founded in 2015 in The Hague, the network supports professionals navigating complex international careers at the intersection of public institutions, non-profit organizations, and the private sector, where legal frameworks play a decisive role in shaping accountability, stability, and long-term resilience.

Our Heritage

Peace and Justice .net was established in The Hague as a platform bringing together legally trained professionals engaged in international law, public institutions, academia, and civil society.

From its inception, the initiative attracted lawyers and senior international figures committed to strengthening legal infrastructures underpinning peace and justice. Over time, the network developed a strong understanding of how international legal careers actually unfold—across institutions, sectors, and geopolitical contexts.

This long-term perspective remains central to our identity.

Our Vision for the Future

Peace and Justice .net has evolved in response to a changing professional and institutional landscape.

While the mission remains anchored in peace and justice, the network today focuses on career navigation, institutional literacy, and professional credibility rather than advocacy or activism.

In practice, this means:

  • supporting international lawyers in translating their experience across public, non-profit, and private-sector roles,

  • helping organizations and HR leaders better understand non-linear international legal career paths,

  • facilitating discreet exchanges between practitioners and institutions,

  • and promoting realistic, sustainable career development in complex global environments.

The network operates as professional infrastructure, not a campaign or community movement.

Our Perspective

Peace and justice outcomes are no longer produced by public institutions alone. They increasingly emerge from interconnected legal, regulatory, and economic systems, where enforcement, compliance, governance, and accountability intersect.

Peace and Justice .net aims to be a reference community  for international lawyers operating within this reality — offering clarity, perspective, and professional grounding across sectors.

The network remains deliberately:

  • non-political,

  • non-commercial,

  • and independent,

while maintaining high standards of discretion, rigor, and institutional credibility.

Who the Network is For

Peace and Justice .net is designed for:

  • international lawyers and legally trained professionals,

  • early-career to senior practitioners navigating global roles,

  • professionals working with or alongside international organizations,

  • and institutions seeking to engage thoughtfully with this category of talent.

It is not a general advocacy community, campaign platform, or job board.
